BEFORE MAINE: Played high school ball for the Mission Viejo Diablos under coaches Troy Ybarra and Toni Mascaraneas (University of Arizona) ... Helped lead the Diablos to three South Coast Conference Championships (2009-11) and the California Intercollegiate Federal Regional Finals those same three seasons ... Was named first-team all-south coast conference in 2011 while also being named to the 2011 Orange County All-Star team ... A two-time "Spirit of the Diablo" leadership award winner, was named second team all-conference in 2010 Hit .398 her senior season, her second highest total behind batting .423 her freshman year... also played travel ball under coaches John Fitzpatrick and Mike Monnahan (American Athletics 18U Gold). Team was 18 Gold National Qualifier in 2010 & 2011. Helped lead the team to the 2010 18 Gold ASA Champions Cup Showcase Tournament Runner-Up award.
